Iwan
Mohammed Marwan Ba'aseery, known professionally as Iwan, was born on August 16,
1980 in Beirut, Lebanon. He began his musical career as a songwriter for artists
like Bassima and Fares Karam. In 2003, Iwan released his debut single "Oul
Inshallah," which became a hit across the Middle East. His breakthrough album
Alby Sahran was released in 2004, winning him a platinum record and the Arabian
Music Awards for Best New Arab Male Artist that year. In August 2007, Iwan
