Ishmael Ali, known professionally as IshDARR, is an American rapper from
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Born in 1997, Ali began making music and writing lyrics in
seventh grade. In early 2014, he released his debut EP The Better Life, which
led to a meeting with Mike Caren, the Vice President of A&R at Atlantic Records.
Later that year, IshDARR opened for Ab-Soul on his These Days tour and performed
at South by Southwest in 2015. His first mixtape, Old Soul, Young Spirit,
