Irfan
Irfan, a Bulgarian ethno rock band formed in 2001, cultivated a blend of Balkan,
Persian, and Indian folkloric musical traditions. Their breakthrough came with
the 2003 debut Irfan, released on Prikosnovénie, which introduced their mix of
female vocals, traditional instruments, and ambient electronics. In 2007, the
band followed with Seraphim, and continued to tour extensively across Europe,
performing at major gothic, neo‑folk, medieval, and world music festivals. The
group's releases include The Eternal Return (2015) and Roots (2018).
