Ilan Chester, born Ilan Czenstochowski on July 30, 1952, in Jaffa, Tel Aviv,
Israel, is a Venezuelan musician, singer, songwriter, and record producer. He
emigrated to Venezuela in 1953. Chester's early musical influences included
Jewish, French, and Italian melodies from home, as well as American R&B and
British rock. His music incorporated elements of classical music, jazz,
Caribbean, and Venezuelan folk. He began his music career as a member of various
