il Gardellino
Il Gardellino, a Belgian ensemble specializing in classical music, was founded
in 1988 by oboist Marcel Ponseele and flutist Jan De Winne. The group took its
name from Antonio Vivaldi's concerto "Il Gardellino" (op. 10 n° 3). Il
Gardellino began their career with a focus on baroque music, collaborating with
other formations such as Cappella Amsterdam and the Gesualdo Consort. The
group's recordings include Eichner : Flute Quartets op. 4, Bach Solo Cantantas,
and Bach & Graupner : De Profundis. Their recordings have been released on
