Ian Pooley, born Ian Pinnekamp in 1973 in Germany, is a producer known for his
contributions to electronic music. His career began in 1993 when he started
producing house and techno music, influenced by producers from Chicago and
Detroit. Early releases included The Latest Adventures of Kool Killer under the
alias Space Cube. Pooley's breakthrough came with his appearance on BBC Radio
One Essential Mix in 1998, featuring tracks by Slam, Jeff Mills, and his own
