Cliffroy Taylor, known professionally as I. Wayne, was born on 6 August 1980 in
Portmore, Jamaica, and is a roots reggae singer. Raised by his aunt and her
husband, the noted keyboardist Ansell Collins, I. Wayne began performing at age
seven and later joined the school group Vibes Machine, gaining experience in
local clubs such as Cactus and Asylum. His breakthrough came with the 2012
single "Can't Satisfy Her", which entered the influential Hot 97 playlist and
showcased a new wave of roots reggae. In 2005 I. Wayne signed with VP Records
