Hwanhee, born Hwang Yoon-seok on January 17 1982 in Seoul, is a South Korean singer and actor, and member of the R&B duo Fly to the Sky. After graduating from Gwangmun High School and studying post‑modern music at Kyunghee University, Hwanhee was encouraged to audition by an SM Entertainment staff member during a high‑school festival, leading to the duo’s debut on November 21 1999 with Day by Day.
