Chronis Aidonidis, born on September 23, 1928, in Karoti, Greece, was a singer
and composer known for his contributions to Greek folk and entekhno music. He
was first taught Byzantine music by his father and learned traditional songs
from his mother and local musicians before moving to Athens in 1950 with his
parents. In Athens, Aidonidis completed his studies in Byzantine music at the
Hellenic Conservatory under Theodoros Hadjitheodorou. Aidonidis released several
