Hot Chip
Formed in 2000 by childhood friends-turned-DJs Alexis Taylor, Joe Goddard and
three other musicians (Al Doyle, Owen Clarke and Felix Martin), Hot Chip began
to make a name for themselves with their rap-, soul- and house-influenced
electronic pop on their debut album Coming on Strong (2004), which received
critical acclaim but never charted. Confined to their studio, the quintet honed
sounds far removed from the performances delivered on every tour, with an
