Hop Along, an American indie rock band from Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, was
formed in 2004 by Frances Quinlan as a folk solo project. Initially known as Hop
Along, Queen Ansleis, the project's initial breakthrough came with the release
of its debut album Freshman Year in 2006. In 2009, Mark Quinlan and Tyler Long
joined on drums and bass, respectively, leading to a name change to Hop Along.
Their first release as a trio was the EP Wretches (2009), followed by their
