Hombres G, formed in Madrid in 1982, consisted of lead vocalist and bassist
David Summers Rodríguez, guitarist Rafael Gutiérrez Muñoz, guitarist and pianist
Dani Mezquita Hardy, and drummer Javi Molina Burgos. Their first single,
"Milagro en el Congo", released in 1983, introduced the group to the Spanish
pop‑rock scene, and the follow‑up "Devuélveme a mi chica" propelled them to
national prominence in 1985. The self‑titled debut album Hombres G (1985) sold
over a million copies in Spain and earned the band the 1986 Bravo Award for Best
