Hiss is a German folk rock and polka band from Stuttgart formed in 1995 by
Stefan Hiss, Volker Schuh, Michael Roth, Andi Feller, and Patch Pacher. Their
breakthrough came with the single "Negerpolka" (1996), securing them a deal with
Intercord. The band's debut album, Herz und Verrat, was released in 1997,
followed by Tut Buße in 1998 and Tränen, Tabak und Tequila in 2001. In 2003,
Polka für die Welt gained them significant attention and won the German World
