Hiroshi Fujiwara, born on February 7, 1964, in Ise, Mie, Japan, is a musician,
producer, DJ, and fashion designer. At the age of eighteen, he moved to Tokyo
and became prominent in the Harajuku street fashion scene. In the early 1980s,
during a trip to New York City, Fujiwara was introduced to hip hop and brought
American records back to Tokyo, becoming one of Japan's first hip hop DJs and
instrumental in popularizing the genre. His music career began with the album
Nothing Much Better to Do, released in 1994, followed by Hiroshi Fujiwara in Dub
