Helmut Kagerer
Helmut Kagerer, a German guitarist born on February 7, 1961 in Passau, began
playing guitar as a teenager. He studied at the Jazz Schule München from 1980 to
1982 and later at the Hochschule für Musik und darstellende Kunst Graz from 1984
to 1986. In 1987, he formed a guitar duo with Helmut Nieberle, with whom he
recorded albums including Wes Trane (1992). Kagerer has collaborated
internationally with musicians such as Clark Terry and Arthur Blythe, and toured
