Heike Schäfer, born on March 23, 1964, in Kirchen (Sieg), Germany, is a singer
known for her contributions to pop and schlager music. Schäfer made her first
public appearance in 1980 and began studying singing two years later. Her
breakthrough came in 1985 when she participated in the German selection for the
Eurovision Song Contest with “Die Glocken von Rom”, written by Ralph Siegel and
