Hazel was an American alternative rock band formed in 1992, in Portland, Oregon.
The quartet consisted of Jody Bleyle (drums and vocals), Pete Krebs (guitar and
vocals), Brady Smith (bass), and Fred Nemo (dancer). Their debut single “J.
Hell” b/w “Day-Glo”/“Joe Louis Punchout” was released in 1992 on Cavity Search
Records. Hazel's music featured both male and female vocals with a melodic noise
pop sound. They released two full-length albums, Toreador of Love (1993) and Are
You Going to Eat That (1995) on Sub Pop, as well as a five-song EP Airiana
