Asami Hayashi (born September 1, 1977 in Aomori Prefecture) is one of the
pioneers of "en-doll", a fusion of Japanese enka and idol appeal. 1996 saw her
debut with "Tsun Tsun Tsugaru". She attracted attention with her "navel bare"
look, a style that overturned the conventional wisdom of the enka world, and was
dubbed the "Amurer of the enka world. On February 18, 2004, she released the
single "Nanashiki Namida" (Seven Color Namida ). This emotionally rich enka song
