Hawthorne Heights, formed in Dayton, Ohio in 2001, emerged from a lineup that
included JT Woodruff (lead vocals, rhythm guitar) and Matt Ridenour (bass,
backing vocals). The band’s early momentum began with the release of the EP
Paper Chromatography: The Fade from Dark to Light and the demo Four Bullets for
One Girl, which attracted the attention of Confined Records. Their debut studio
album The Silence in Black and White (2004) peaked at Number 56 on the Billboard
