Hans Otto was a German organist, harpsichordist and cantor. He was a member of
the Thomanerchor, the choir of St. Thomas Church in Leipzig. He studied under
Karl Straube at the Institute of Church Music of the University of Music and
Theatre Leipzig between 1945 and 1948. In 1968, he was named
Kirchenmusikdirektor and appointed organist at Freiberg Cathedral, and later
went on to serve as organist at the Georg Philipp Telemann Concert Hall in
