Hanna Banaszak, born April 24, 1957, in Poznań, Poland, is a Polish singer and
poet. She began her career in the early 1970s as a duo with guitarist Piotr
Żurowski. Banaszak debuted solo at the 14th National Festival of Polish Song in
Opole in 1976. From 1977 to 1979, she collaborated with the jazz band Sami Swoi,
performing at various festivals. Her solo career includes albums such as
Summertime (1979) and Kofta (2008). Banaszak has performed extensively in Poland
