Hamid El Shaeri
Abdelhamid Ali Ahmed al-Shaeri, also known as Hamid Al Shaeri, was born on
November 29, 1961, in Benghazi, Libya, and is a singer, composer, and music
arranger. Raised in a polygamous household with fifteen siblings, he was exposed
to synth-pop during his brief studies in the United Kingdom. His musical career
began as an organist for the Libyan Radio Band and later as a founding member of
the Sons of Africa group. He moved to Cairo and released his debut album عيونها
