Hadouken!
In a hail of glow sticks, whirring rave samples and an assault of blistering
beats, Hadouken! were tipped for success in 2007 before they had even played a
handful of gigs. Named after a special move on the video game 'Street Fighter',
the buzz surrounding the Leeds University students quickly grew when they were
name dropped by The Streets' Mike Skinner on BBC Radio 1 and future single 'That
Boy That Girl' became a viral hit.
Alongside Klaxons, Late of the Pier and New Young Pony Club, Hadouken! were
billed as pioneers of the burgeoning new rave scene, mixing 1990s dance euph...
