Habibi, an American psychedelic rock band from Brooklyn, New York, was formed in
2011 by Rahill Jamalifard and Lenaya Lynch. The group initially blended garage
rock with sixties girl group harmonies. Their first release was the self-titled
Habibi EP in 2012, which gained traction after their song "Sweetest Talk"
appeared in James Franco's short film series Episodes of an Untitled Film. In
2014, they released their debut full-length album Habibi, followed by the EP
