Bluegrass jam band Greensky Bluegrass was formed in Kalamazoo, Michigan in 2000.
Founded by Michael Arlen Bont (banjo), Paul Hoffman (mandolin) and Dave Bruzza
(guitar), the group began playing open mic nights before assimilating themselves
into the local bluegrass scene. The group added Chris Carr (bass) and Al Bates
(dobro) to their lineup by the time they recorded their debut album, Less than
Supper (2004). However, both Carr and Bates were only in the group a short time
