Graforréia Xilarmônica, a Brazilian rock group from Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do
Sul, was formed in 1987 by Carlo Pianta, Alexandre Birck, Marcelo Birck, and
Frank Jorge. Their early breakthrough came with the demo tape Com Amor, Muito
Carinho in 1988, which included memorable songs like "Empregada" and "Amigo
Punk". In 1995, they released their first full-length album, Coisa de Louco II,
through Banguela Records. The band disbanded in early January 2000 but reunited
in 2005, releasing their first live album, Graforréia Xilarmônica ao Vivo, in
2006.
