Het Goede Doel was formed in 1979 by Henk Temming and Sander van Herk. Their
first breakthrough was the single "In't leven" (1982), followed by "Gijzelaar"
the same year. Their debut album België (1982) produced the hits "Vriendschap"
and "België", earning platinum status and Number 1 in the Dutch Album Top 100.
Subsequent releases included Tempo Doeloe (1983) and Mooi en onverslijtbaar
(1986), with singles such as "Ik Dans Dus Ik Besta" and "Zwijgen" reaching the
Dutch Top 40. The group disbanded in 1991, reunited for concerts in 2001, and
released the compilation Geef de mensen...
