GNR
GNR is a Portuguese pop rock ensemble from Vila Nova de Gaia established in
1980. They achieved professional recognition for a musical career characterized
by pop rock and post-punk and for creating a new sound during the Portuguese
rock boom. The ensemble was founded by the guitarist and vocalist Alexandre
Soares, the guitarist Vítor Rua, and the drummer Tóli César Machado. Their
recording career began with a debut performance in 1981 and the single "Portugal
