Gladiator, a Slovak Grunge, Death Metal, and Thrash Metal band formed in
Alekšince in 1989, emerged from the local underground scene where the founding
members, primarily vocalist and guitarist, began experimenting with grunge and
metal influences. Their early efforts culminated in the 1992 debut Designation,
followed by Made of Pain (1993) and Third Eye (1994), establishing a reputation
for aggressive riffing and melodic hooks. In 1996 the band signed with Ariola,
