Ginny Simms was an American singer and actress born in the United States in
1913. Virginia Ellen Simms began a professional career as a vocalist for the Tom
Gerun band in 1932 before joining the Kay Kyser Orchestra in 1934. They achieved
national recognition through radio performances and appeared in motion pictures
with Kyser including That's Right—You're Wrong (1939) and Playmates (1941).
Their film career included lead roles in Here We Go Again (1942), Hit the Ice
