American vocalist Lugenia Thompson (born on November 10, 1976), aka Gina
Thompson, had her first brush with fame during the mid-90s thanks to her soulful
blend of urban pop music, hip-hop, and contemporary R&B. Hailing from Vineland,
New Jersey, Thompson began singing in her childhood and landed her first record
deal with Mercury Records fresh out of high school in 1995. Featuring production
