Gilliard Cordeiro Marinho, born on December 17, 1956 in Natal, Rio Grande do
Norte, Brazil, is a Brazilian singer and composer. At age eight, he won his
first singing contest as the "most beautiful voice in Rio Grande." Gilliard
began his career in the 1970s, influenced by artists such as Luiz Gonzaga and
Vicente Celestino. In 1979, Gilliard signed with RGE Records and released his
debut album Gilliard, which included the hit "Aquela Nuvem." His career
