The Gigolo Aunts are an American power‑pop group formed in 1981 in Potsdam,
New York, by The Gigolo Aunts members Steve Hurley, Dave Gibbs, Phil Hurley and
Paul Brouwer, who later added Fred Eltringham and Jon Skibic. Their early work
appeared on the demo Better Than Fish (1987) and the debut album Everybody Happy
(1988) on Coyote Records, followed by Tales from the Vinegar Side (1990)
released only in Spain. The breakthrough single "Bloom" (1991) on Summerville
Records generated international attention and led to a deal with Fire Records,
