Born Gianna Perez on 4 February 2000 in New Jersey, US, and primarily raised in Florida, the LBGTQAI+ indie-folk singer-songwriter known professionally as Gigi Perez, or simply gigi, first gained online notoriety in 2021 with her self-released debut single, the acoustic gem "Sometimes (Backwood)."
