Giannis Tatasopoulos (January 7, 1928 – October 21, 2001), also known as
“Dillinger,” was a Greek bouzouki master, soloist, and composer from Kifissia.
Tatasopoulos performed on the bouzouki and guitar. He achieved a Number 1 hit in
the national Greek charts in the 1950s and appeared on Greek national
television. Tatasopoulos emigrated to the United States in 1955 and decided to
remain there permanently in 1958. His son, Nikos Tatasopoulos, became a bouzouki
