Gerson Rufino is a Brazilian gospel singer from Navegantes, Santa Catarina, who
began singing at 14 and went on to build a career that blends pentecostal praise
with sertanejo-inflected gospel. Apple Music’s editorial biography credits Volta
Pra Mim as his first album in 1997, and over the following years he became
closely associated with songs such as “Dia de Sol,” “Vai Passar,” and later “Eu
Só Quero Adorar.” His 2011 album Não Preciso de Licença helped establish one of
the defining songs in his catalog, and he followed it with albums including
Sobrevivi (2013), O Amor de Deus ...
