Gerling was an Australian electronic alternative rock trio formed in 1993 in
western Sydney, comprising Darren Cross on guitar and lead vocals, Paul Towner
on drums, and Brad Herdson on guitar and vocals. The band began as a guitar‑pop
trio, covering W.A.S.P. material before shifting to experimental guitar pop;
their debut single, "Sedatives for Dead Radars", was issued in 1995 on the
Fellaheen label, followed by the EP A Day of Research in 1996, which peaked at
