George Chakiris
George Chakiris is an American singer and dancer born on September 16, 1932 in
Norwood Ohio. He achieved professional recognition for a musical career that
began after studying at the American School of Dance. Chakiris achieved
professional recognition for the role of Bernardo in the film West Side Story
(1961) for which he received the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actor. His
