George Edward Bruns was an American composer of music for film and television,
particularly known for his work for Walt Disney Studios. He began studying piano
at a young age and went on to learn multiple instruments. After attending Oregon
State University, he worked as a professional musician and bandleader before
relocating to Los Angeles in the late 1940s. In 1953, Bruns joined Walt Disney
Studios as an arranger and later became the studio’s music director, a position
