George&Beatovens

George & Beatovens, a Czech rock band, was formed in 1963 in Prague by Petr Novák. Initially named Beatles as a tribute to the English quartet, they renamed themselves George & Beatovens due to performance restrictions. The original lineup included Michal Burian on lead guitar, Karel Sluka on bass, and Jiří Jirásek on drums. Their first demos were presented on Jiří Černý's radio show Dvanáct na houpačce.
