Gary Burr, born in 1952 in Meriden, Connecticut, is an American musician,
songwriter, and record producer primarily known for his work in country music.
His breakthrough came with "Love's Been A Little Bit Hard On Me", a Top 10 hit
released by Juice Newton in 1982. Burr joined Pure Prairie League from 1984 to
1985 following Vince Gill’s departure and later moved to Nashville to focus on
songwriting. He has written and co-written numerous hits for artists such as The
