Garfield is a Canadian progressive rock, art pop, and folk rock band formed in
Toronto, Ontario, in the early 1970s. Fronted by vocalist and songwriter
Garfield French, the ensemble initially performed as The Garfield Band before
signing with Mercury Records after opening for 10cc in Ottawa. The group’s
lineup included guitarist Walter Lawrence, multi-instrumentalists Paul O’Donnell
and Chip Yarwood, keyboardist Jacques Fillion, bassist Maris Tora, and drummer
Dennis French. In 1976, they released their debut album, Strange Streets, which
produced the hit single "Old Time Movies"...
