Gare du Nord, a Dutch-Belgian jazz band, was formed around 2001 by guitarist
Ferdi Lancee and saxophone player Barend Fransen. The duo began writing lounge
music in Belgium and signed with Play It Again Sam Records, releasing their
debut album (In Search Of) Excellounge in 2001. Their early success included
songs featured in the soundtracks of Six Feet Under and Ghost Rider. In 2005,
they released Club Gare Du Nord, which featured contributions from Erik Truffaz
