The Gambino Family was an American hip hop group founded in 1997 by Master P,
named after the Gambino crime family. The group consisted of four members: Lil
Gotti (Lawrence Johnson), Malachi (Melchior Johnson), Pheno (Edward Joseph Bell
Jr.), and Reginelli (Reginald Johnson). They made their debut mainstream
appearance on the soundtrack to I'm Bout It with the song "Why They Wanna See Me
Dead". In 1998, they appeared on several No Limit releases, including Black
Mafia by Steady Mobb'n, Give It 2 'Em Raw by Soulja Slim, and There's One in
