A native of Atlanta, Georgia, where he was born on November 20, 1983, Nayvadius
DeMun Wilburn, also known as Future, is one of the leading figures in Southern
rap. With the support of his cousin Rico Wade, he collaborated with Gucci Mane
and released several mixtapes, including True Story and Streetz Calling (2011).
His debut album, Pluto (No. 8), was released in 2012. It features performances
by Drake, T.I., Snoop Dogg, and R. Kelly. But it was his work as a producer and
arranger on Rihanna’s album Unapologetic that really helped put him on the map.
