Frightened Rabbit was a Scottish indie rock band from Selkirk, formed in 2003 by vocalist and guitarist Scott Hutchison. The band's name came from a nickname given to Hutchison by his mother due to his chronic shyness. By 2006, the project evolved into a full-fledged band with the addition of Hutchison's brother Grant on drums and guitarist Billy Kennedy. Their debut album, Sing the Greys, was released in 2006 on the local label Hits The Fan.
