Real name Fredrick Jamel Tipton, American rapper Freddie Gibbs was born on June
14, 1982 in Gary, Indiana. In 2004, he made a name for himself by releasing
back-to-back mixtapes under the name Full Metal Jackit: The Mixtape (volumes 1
and 2). The California sun beckoned, and he moved to Los Angeles in 2006 after
signing with Interscope Records. Although he recorded a debut album, he was
