Alfredo Antonio Carlo Buongusto, known professionally as Fred Bongusto, and born on April 6, 1935, in Campobasso, Italy, was a singer-songwriter and record producer. He began his music career as a singer while still a student, performing with the group I 4 Loris. Bongusto's early career included appearances in musicarelli films such as Obiettivo ragazze (1963) and Questi pazzi, pazzi italiani (1965). He released his debut album Fred Bongusto in 1963.
