Francisco Canarozzo, known as Francisco Canaro, was born in 1880 or 1888, in San
José de Mayo, Uruguay. He began his professional music career in 1908 after
moving to Argentina, initially playing in various instrumental trios. In 1916,
he formed the Orquesta Canaro-Martínez with pianist José Martínez, which later
became part of Roberto Firpo's ensemble. In 1925, Canaro established his own
orchestra and introduced the cello to tango music. He composed over 700 pieces,
including notable songs like “El Desfile Del Amor” and “Adiós pampa mía”. His
