Francesco Baccini, born 4 October 1960 in Genoa, Italy, is an Italian
singer‑songwriter whose career launched in 1988 with the single "Mamma dammi i
soldi" under the stage name Espressione Musica. He signed with Caterina Caselli
and released the debut album Cartoons in 1989, followed by Il pianoforte non è
il mio forte in 1990 and Nomi e cognomi in 1992. The 1990 single "Sotto questo
sole" with Paolo Belli Ladri di Biciclette won the Festivalbar and topped the
Italian charts, and in 1997, he entered the Sanremo Music Festival with "Senza
